[ About ]

Built from within the grappling community, Enyo was created to give female athletes a stage designed specifically for them. What began as the UK’s first all female professional grappling invitational has grown into a showcase for rising talent, established competitors, and submission focused matches that reward technical, aggressive Jiu Jitsu. Through carefully curated events and an expanding international reach, Enyo continues to shape a new standard for women’s BJJ in the UK, Europe and beyond.

Our open mats are built to strengthen the foundations of women’s BJJ through shared training, collaboration, and community. Bringing together athletes from different gyms, backgrounds, and experience levels, they create a welcoming space where women can train, learn, and build confidence in an environment designed for them. Alongside the open mats, Enyo also hosts seminars led by elite grapplers, giving athletes the opportunity to learn directly from some of the sport’s top competitors. Focused on developing grassroots jiu jitsu and growing the wider women’s grappling community, many athletes who first attended Enyo events and open mats have gone on to compete on the Enyo stage themselves.

Vanessa English Womens Only Seminar and Open Mat

Saturday 27 June 2026
Parity Martial Arts, Southampton

We’ve been running women’s open mats for over 6 years, creating a space for the community to come together, train, and connect.

This time, we’re switching things up with a special seminar led by Vanessa English. Expect high-level technique, a relaxed atmosphere, and the same positive vibe we’re known for.

We’ll still have snacks, good rounds, and plenty of laughs, while also raising funds for the Enyo Grappling Foundation, supporting women and girls in BJJ through training, competition, and new programme opportunities.

The Enyo Foundation was created to help remove barriers within women’s grappling by providing support, opportunities, and resources to athletes who need them most.

Through women’s courses, seminars, and community initiatives, the foundation works to grow the sport at a grassroots level while creating more accessible pathways into training and competition.

It also provides support to up and coming athletes with competition costs and opportunities that aid their progression and long term competitive development within women’s BJJ and grappling.

“Enyo Grappling is the most professional and exciting grappling show in Europe. I'm proud to be part of a show featuring high-level submissions, explosive take downs, and female fighters competing with everything they’ve got.”
